Sir Richard Branson’s Private Necker Island is Back!

Sir Richard Branson's $60K Nightly Great House on Necker Island Reopens
$ 70 million in the Caribbean island home of Sir Richard Branson was struck by lightning and windswept caused by Hurricane Irene in 2011. Two years later, President of Virgin Group announced a major restructuring is nearing completion and should be finally completed in September 2013. The Necker Island 74 acres, part of the Virgin Limited Edition collection was inspired by the beautiful Balinese style features and the original house. With some innovative new twists, enjoying a panoramic view of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and the neighboring islands. Every room in the house has its own balcony, king-size bed and bathroom.

The island can be rented exclusively for groups up to 30 people, or if you are looking to rent only, you can still enjoy the Necker experience during the week of celebration when individual rooms can be booked by singles or couples to enjoy our fabulous style 'house party' island paradise.
When it reopened for guests, the island can be privatized by £ 40,000 ($ 60.800) per night.

During Tropical Storm Irene, Kate Winslet was there and was a hero. Branson said the Oscar winner took 90-year-old mother Eve out of the house while it was still on fire. He joked that Winslet was wondering when a director was going to shout "Cut! '
