New Century Global Center - World’s Largest Building Officially Opened in China
After three years of construction of the new global center century China was officially opened to the public on June 28, coinciding with the opening of Ocean Park Subway Station Line 1. Building the world's largest is in the Chinese city of Chengdu, southwest. The 500 meters long, 400 meters wide and 100 meters high (19 million square feet) mega build 1.76 million square meters, is so large that it is able to accommodate 20 Sydney Opera House and is almost three times larger than the Pentagon in Washington, about 329 football fields to beat the previous record holder, Dubai Airport.

Once completed, the centerpiece of the building part is a water park with a coastline of 400 meters and beaches under a giant glass dome with a capacity of 6,000 visitors - both. An LED screen 150 meters by 40 meters in height is increased above a body of water with a video marine horizon. Contain not one, but a pair of 1,000 rooms, five-star hotels. Also house offices, shopping centers and a replica Mediterranean city and a great arena to contain the international skating and ice hockey competitions.
The shopping section was opened to the public since the end of June, but the office space in the building has been occupied for some time.
