Bonhams is delighted to have the Goodwood Festival of Speed auction the most desirable of all the 1950s, the two-seater sports competition. It was the third 300S driven by the great American collector Briggs Swift Cunningham by his old friend and team rider Lance Bill.

During the 3053 delivery was co driven by Bill Sherwood throws and Johnston in 1955 Sebring 12-hour race, the U.S. Tour of FIA World Sportscar Championship. They enjoyed a good debut, finishing third, surpassed only by Phil Hill and the Ferrari driven winner Mike Hawthorn Jaguar D-Type.
