Oscar Backstage Lounge


The 84th Academy Award annually held in Los Angeles for the tenth consecutive year of products, Architectural Digest backstage ceremony honored the presenters and relax in style. Here's a look at this year and the last eight years ... Green Rooms

Waldo Fernandez, AD100 interior designer, was chosen to create the life scenes of the event, and went with an old Hollywood theme, relaxed tones, elegant and festive throughout the room.

2012
Designed by Waldo Fernandez. The library had several film clips of blankets to books

Inspired by 1930's and 40's Hollywood, the exclusive lounge backstage of 2012 Oscar as glamorous as the stars on the red carpet were used in Moroccan carpet.Two room on floors Hume Reserve California Classic Collection

2011
The concept of this year is an elegant, 1940s-style, a library with a sophisticated color palette and furnishings that celebrate the Golden Age of Hollywood. Designed by Michael S. Smith, the designer of the White House.

2010
82nd Academy Awards Greenroom - Designer Roger Thomas designed the Greenroom 2010 on a custom paint splattered floor

2009
81st Academy Awards Greenroom - Designer Stephen Shadley used a photographic background on the city of Los Angeles to the focal point of the waiting room 2009, building a life similar to that of a house in 1970 with a modern panoramic town.

2008
President of Dorothy Draper & Co., Carleton Varney, was the mastermind behind the Green Room at the 80th Academy Awards in 2008. He was inspired by the original drawings of Draper Beverly Hills in 1940 and designed Arrowhead Springs station.

2007
Matthew White and Frank Webb joined Global Green USA Council and the Natural Resources Defense to create an environment Greenroom for 79 Academy Awards 2007. Bet you can not say that the carpet is made from recycled plastic bottles!

2006
In 2006, Roy and Dorothy Greenroom become a lobby "and the intimate luxury of a fantasy movie in honor of S. Charles Lee, the prolific creator of legendary theaters."

2005
The Diana Vreeland Christophers had in mind when they created the waiting room for an Academy Award in 2005 77th annual.

2004
In 2004, Dorothy and Roy (who also designed the old TV series) 76th Greenroom wanted a contemporary version of the Hollywood Regency style.

2003
Designed by Roy Christopher and his wife Dorothy
Christopher Roy - broadcast veteran artistic director of the Oscar - and his wife Dorothy designed the first four Architectural Digest Green Rooms. Scholarships for the 75th Academy Awards in 2003, Christophers created a space which they described as "a nod to the glamorous setting of the golden age of Hollywood."

Two Moroccan carpets were used in the room over Hume floors from the California Classic Reserve Collection
Inspired by 1930s and ‘40s Hollywood, the exclusive backstage lounge at the 2012 Oscars is as glamorous as the stars on the red carpet.

2010
82nd Annual Academy Awards Greenroom – Designer Roger Thomas designed the 2010 Greenroom around a custom paint-splattered floor

2009
81st Annual Academy Awards Greenroom – Designer Stephen Shadley used a photographic backdrop of the Los Angeles skyline for the focal point of the 2009 Greenroom, creating a lounge area similar to that of a 1970s modern home with a panoramic view of the city.

2008
President of Dorothy Draper & Co., Carleton Varney, was the mastermind behind the Green Room of the 80th Annual Academy Awards in 2008. He was inspired by Draper’s original sketches for the Beverly Hills Hotel and her 1940s design of the Arrowhead Springs Resort.

 
2007 
Matthew White & Frank Webb teamed up with Global Green USA and the Natural Resources Defense Council to create an eco-friendly Greenroom for the 79th Oscars in 2007. I bet you can’t tell that the carpet is made out of recycled plastic bottles!

2006
In 2006, Roy and Dorothy transformed the Greenroom into an “intimate yet luxe lobby of a fantasy movie theater in honor of S. Charles Lee, the prolific designer of legendary theaters”.

2005
The Christophers had Diana Vreeland in mind when they created the Greenroom for the 77th Annual Academy Awards in 2005.

 2004
In 2004, Dorothy and Roy (also a former television set designer) wanted the 76th Greenroom to be a contemporary take on theHollywood Regency style.
