Roy Stuart Dragon Longboard For $1.3 million

Roy Stewart’s Dragon longboard is 165 inches long
With thirteen years in the making, Dragon longboard by Roy Stewart is 165 cm long, with a thickness ratio of 1:63 for a low profile and an exceptionally flexible response. The architect based in New Zealand built the board, which cost $ 1.3milion hand inlaid wood Empress and her dragon covered with 23 carat aquamarine eyes.

The Board is new from every point of view, design, hydraulics and aerodynamics, handling, construction and ergonomics. This is a surfboard that is capable of offering traditional offerings in the segment, Frye, Cooper, Phillips, Wegener and Parmenter. It is perfectly shaped, with organic shapes emphasizing the concepts of simplicity, efficiency and long leg power that inspired the project. The hull has a rocking curve single roof.

A Stuart innovation, the only bow rocker, gives the perfect balance between maneuverability and speed that is so important for boards of more than 12 feet long. The board is able to handle the wind not matter which direction, to the extent of 40 mph and beyond, when long boards from other manufacturers to become unsustainable.
