At the heart of Monte Carlo, a few steps from the Casino Square and close to the city center, is the famous Metropole Hotel. Combining contemporary elegance of yesteryear charm, this hotel is housed in a Belle Epoque building, dating back to 1886. Renovated in 2004 by renowned French interior designer Jacques Garcia, the hotel is decorated in a classic Mediterranean style, including antiques and works of art. Recent addition of Odyssey Hotel - a concept created by Chef Joel Robuchon and Karl Lagerfeld.

The new space, a haven of peace, a swimming pool, garden, terrace, restaurant (third restaurant Joel Robuchon at the hotel) and a cocktail bar exclusively for hotel guests and members of "The Odyssey".

Karl Lagerfeld designed a custom installation of 20 x 3 meter wall of photographic style poolside Metropole. The mural was inspired by the journey of Odysseus around the Sea Mediterran the Iliad and the Odyssey.
The wall consists of 18 glass panels etched with Muses dress designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The images of the models are superimposed on the Greek coast photographs taken between 1850 and 1860. The wall is lit by an LED system - adjusts to the surrounding natural light and create motion effects.

With this new Odyssey restarant, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is the only hotel in the world to have three award-winning restaurants in the head.
