Rare Black Opal on Sale for $3 Milion

Black Opal that Bobby was in possession of a 14 year old Australian miner, will debut this month at the Couture salon for high-end jewelry at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. Expected to reach 3 million.
Called the Real One, 306 carats of gem quality black opal is almost twice the size of the Aurora Australis, found in 1938, which was valued at $ 1 million in 2005.


The miner, who wants to be known only by his first name, said he found the real deep in a bucket opal rough, uncut, and quality found only by accident. "I had foam on it like an opal poor quality and when I did, I saw the bottom of the opal good quality," said Bobby.
