34.64-carat “Princie Diamond” Sold for $39 Million at Christie’s


New record for the auction house Christie! Rare 34.64 carat pink diamond sold for $ 39,323,750 at Christie (over $ 1 million per carat).

Nicknamed "Princie Diamond" is one of the largest diamonds and has its origins in former diamond mines in southern India rose in the world.

This rarely priceless jewel was owned by the royal family of Hyderabad and from 1960 by the London branch of Van Cleef & Arpels.

The auction house Christie originally bought the diamond £ 46,000, equivalent to 1.3 million today. This time it was sold to an anonymous buyer.
