Napoleon’s Engagement Ring Sold for $939,000 at Auction

The romance between Napoleon and Josephine was very interesting to a bidder in the auction, which was held recently in Fontainebleau, south of Paris. Osenat auction house sold the engagement ring he gave Josephine Bonaparte, for a whopping € 730,000 ($ 939,000). The ring, which is very common, and that Napoleon had very little money at this time is more than 60 times higher than an estimate of € 12,000 ($ 16,000) prize.
